Roots of Colombia Coffee place the health and safety of our customers and employees as a priority.

Our goal is to provide the best customer service, as we always have while ensuring there is no risk to our clients. For this reason, we have implemented the following protocols to protect individuals from COVID-19.

Everyone must acknowledge the following before entering our farm in Colombia and our home business in Canada

  • I have no known symptoms associated with COVID-19 (cough, fever, tiredness, difficulty breathing, etc.)

  • I have not traveled outside of Canada in the last 14 days

  • I have not, to my knowledge, come into contact with anyone that has traveled outside of Canada in the last 14 days

  • I have not, to my knowledge, come into contact with anyone that is experiencing symptoms or may have contracted COVID-19

  • I have taken all recommended precautions as per the advice of the World Health Organization and the federal and provincial health authorities 

  • If any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 arise while on-site, I will immediately be isolated for further action.

  • I agree to comply with all federal, provincial, and municipal laws, regulations, and orders

Best practices to be followed

  • Only enter areas of the coffee site/home that you are immediately working in.

  • Limit touching of surfaces and handles if/when possible

  • Discuss  which area/sink can be used to wash the coffee machine.

  • Discuss with the homeowner which washroom has been designated safe to use.

  • Keep a safe distance (6 feet or more), customers, other tradespeople, or anyone that may be on your Coffee home business.

  • Follow all recommended best practices by the WHO and the federal and provincial health authorities, including but not limited to: washing your hands frequently, not touching your face, coughing into your elbow, and using hand sanitizer when available.

  • Wear masks and gloves when working in the coffee packing site.

  • Disinfect equipment and coffee grinder machine frequently, using a solution of 70% alcohol or approved over the counter disinfectant.

  • Disinfect all areas that you had worked in at the end of each day, using a solution of 70% alcohol or approved over the counter disinfectant; this includes but is not limited to door handles/knows, counters, faucets/taps, etc.

Contactless Pick up & Delivery

  • For the delivery of our Coffee, customers can enable a “contactless” handoff by adding a note for the delivery person with instructions about where to leave the order.

  • When picking up coffee, we offer customers a “Contactless Pick-Up”. Call us upon your arrival and we will place your coffee order in a basket in front of our. Please wait 2 meter away from the entrance until the area is cleared.
